    The German Packaging Ordinance was amended for the fifth time in 2008. The amendments have come into force gradually from April 2008 to April 2009. In the following, the responsibilities that foreign companies are facing in the course of the German Packaging Ordinance are presented, provided that they supply packaged goods to Germany and become the first organisation implying certain conditions to put these goods on the market in Germany.
