In Germany, Chambers of Industry and Commerce are public corporations

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Northern Black Forest is one of 80 German Chambers of Industry and Commerce. Its central organization is the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (Deutscher Industrie- und Handelskammertag, DIHK) in Berlin. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Northern Black Forest closely cooperates with the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (Auslandshandelskammern, AHK) as well as representatives of German commerce in more than 70 countries.
